Position Overview
As a core member of the Market Access Strategy Consulting team, Associates are responsible for executing high-quality quantitative analytics to address client business questions. After training, associates develop expertise across analytical methodologies and tools to develop Market Access strategies for clients. They work under supervision initially, then contribute to all aspects of engagements and may present project materials to clients early in their tenure. In the second and third years, team members typically assume more active managerial roles and mentor junior colleagues. IQVIA values collaboration and a flat structure, with opportunities to work directly with senior leaders on project work and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality, logical, and timely strategic analysis using big data assets to derive trends, conclusions, and actionable recommendations for clients
- Conduct primary (qualitative) and secondary (quantitative) research on markets, payers, physicians, patients, and competitive products to identify key findings
- Participate in internal brainstorming, collaborate with project teams, and exercise informed judgment to address client needs
- Develop predictive models to inform contracting strategies, patient cost and affordability programs, prescriber/product utilization, and brand/financial modeling
- Translate analyses into thorough conclusions and outputs for client reports, presentations, and other tools
- Prepare for internal and client meetings to discuss analysis and answer questions
- Use QC tools and maintain knowledge of QC standards throughout the project
- Manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Communicate progress and challenges with leadership and seek guidance when needed
- Develop deep knowledge of the healthcare industry and consulting methodologies
- Assist with recruiting and participate in the interview process
An ideal candidate will have
- A strong academic record (GPA 3.5/4 or greater), excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication and quantitative skills, and proven teamwork
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in biology, biochemistry, economics, finance, business, healthcare management and policy, history, molecular biology and genetics, psychology, neuroscience, public health, or international relations
- Interest in and desire to learn about the evolving healthcare industry
- Good project management, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent business English (written and oral)
- Exceptional IT literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); SQL is a plus
- Willingness to travel as needed (<10% on average)

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $60,000.00 - $150,000.00. Actual pay offered may vary based on qualifications, location, and other factors; incentive plans, bonuses, and health benefits may also be offered.
