Position Overview
The Associate Vice President, Debt Capital Markets will play a meaningful role within the company, participating in all aspects of Core’s debt capital markets platform. Reporting to the Director of Capital Markets, the AVP will evaluate, implement, and monitor our debt portfolio to align with the short- and long-term goals of the company. Given the critical nature of debt financing within Core’s capital structure, the Manager works closely across all departments.
What You Will Do
Debt Capital Markets (“DCM”) Implementation and Management
Collaborate with Investments, Asset Management, and Finance departments to implement business plans on a company and asset level
Coordinate the structure and execution of debt transactions with lending partners in conjunction with the Debt
Capital Markets team, Investments team and equity partners
Create and manage materials to articulate financing strategies to the Investments team
Strategy Exploration and Market Research
Monitor global investment market trends and formulate summaries for benefit of the Company
Stay up to date on student housing, build-to-rent, and commercial real estate trends across the country
In collaboration with the DCM Team, quantitatively and qualitatively evaluate the Company’s debt platform to ensure alignment with macro investment and fund level strategies
Capital Partner Relationships
Support Chief Capital Officer & DCM Team in managing existing debt capital relationships within the lending and debt brokerage communities
Collaborate with Asset Management and Finance teams on performance measurements and messaging with capital partners
Other
Occasional travel will be necessary as needed
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by management

Ideally, You'll Have
5-7 years of relevant real estate debt capital markets experience
Ability to communicate across teams and react quickly in a demanding fast-paced environment
Ability to handle several projects at one time, balance priorities and target dates
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels and communicate thoughts clearly
You'll crush it if you have experience with
Student Housing, Build-to-Rent (“BTR”) or Multi-Family
Cultivating relationships with lenders, financial institutions, and industry professionals
Working independently and reacting quickly in a demanding, fast-paced environment

Pay Range
USD $120,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
Compensation Disclosure
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we could pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
