The role is with Cognizant Consulting within the Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy & Utilities group. The candidate will operate as a Consulting Principal (Associate Director level) leading client-facing engagements, managing escalations, and owning a workstream, while maintaining domain expertise and contributing to sales processes and delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

Work with clients to establish a clear connection between business goals/strategies to capability development, and implementation to achieving desired business value.

Define product / platform strategies and solutions focused in Utilities domain.

Understand the scope and define business requirements with the business stakeholders.

Map business processes to identify improvement in Utilities back-office operations.

Prepare functional use cases, detailed user stories.

Review test plans prepared by QA Team, Support UAT.

Assist in resolving scope and requirements related queries.

Manage change requests / enhancements / features.

Work with cross-functional teams with different time zones.

Advanced problem-solving skills.

Ability to articulate requirements (good communication).

Create and maintain long-term working relationships with technology teams, functional counterparts, vendors, and business partners.

Qualifications

12+ years of management consulting experience in the Utilities (Electric or water) domain, with 2-4+ years in technology (business or technical consultative) team lead experience.

Has worked as an IT Analyst, IT Project Manager, IT Program Manager, IT Business Analysis or Product Management in the Utilities domain.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

Proven track record of delivering successful consulting projects.

Deep understanding of the Energy/Utility sector including market trends and challenges.

Adept at using data analytics to drive decision-making and strategy development.

Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model balancing remote and in-office responsibilities.

Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry advancements.

Strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.

Demonstrate personal leadership and embody Cognizant’s Core Values: Work as one, Raise the bar, dare to innovate, Do the right thing, Own it.

Ability to travel if needed for business requirements.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience; additional certifications preferred but not mandatory.

Note The candidate can be in any of the following locations (Florida: Miami and Juno Beach, New Jersey, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA); we are hiring at multiple locations.
