As an Analyst on the Corporate Development Team, you’ll play a pivotal role by supporting the analysis, planning and execution of M&A, business development and financial transactions. Your ability to quickly synthesize data to understand the core drivers of any commercial scenario will be critical to advising the executive team upon strategic inorganic and material organic initiatives.
For this Analyst role, we need someone who is motivated with proven analytical abilities, attention to detail and excellent communications skills to help find, diligence and acquire RIAs. Responsibilities
Directly source companies by building prospecting lists based on proprietary research Build initial deal summaries based on CIMs, public data, and other available materials Participate in due diligence processes involving consultants, lawyers, and other service providers Develop investment memoranda and post-merger integration documents Manage administrative processes such as the signing of NDAs, call, and meeting scheduling
Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with data analysis and data visualization using Microsoft excel Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of the three major financial statements - a plus but not required M&A experience - a plus but not required
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $78,000 - $104,100. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
