Our Opportunity: We are looking for a Data Scientist II at our facility in Boston, Massachusetts within the Marketing Science team to develop measurement and optimization frameworks to improve decision-making efficiency.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with marketing and merch category stakeholders and data analysts/scientists within the Marketing Analytics team.
Identify key events impacting customer behavior and quantify their effects on specific segments and overall business.
Develop automated, self-service solutions to accelerate measurement cycles for various business initiatives.
Apply machine learning and experimentation methods to enhance ROI on promotions, loyalty, and customer engagement strategies.
Design experiments, measurements, and analyses supporting outcomes with causal inference methods.
Develop and maintain data science models, including lifecycle management and health reports.
Work with analysts and engineers to optimize solutions for targeting and product strategies.
Use data to improve decision-making, customer experience, and loyalty.
Extract insights from data lakes and develop customer segmentation strategies.
Coordinate with data engineering to automate data pipelines for model lifecycle stages.
Work remotely up to 3 days per week.
What You'll Need:
Master's degree in Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field, with 1 year of experience.
Experience with economic analysis/causal inference, big data, and machine learning.
Proficiency in Python, R, or similar scripting languages.
Knowledge of AWS data tools, SQL, Snowflake, Vertica, and statistical methods.
Experience with AI/ML tools such as Outerbounds.
Ability to identify business improvement opportunities and measure success.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Experience in developing business cases and root cause analysis.
Remote work eligibility up to 3 days a week.
