Summary:
Join our dynamic Advanced Analytics team as a Data Scientist III, applying Artificial Intelligence techniques to drive insights and innovation within MAPFRE. You will aid the decision-making process of business areas by building actionable modeling results. This role operates within a highly collaborative environment, influencing projects with high visibility and direct impact on the company strategy.
Responsibilities:
Perform tasks independently, exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches, and collaborating with team members.
Communicate project results effectively within and outside the Analytics team by developing and automating complex reports and models, aligning with company strategy.
Present model results and efficacy analyses to senior stakeholders.
Apply knowledge to solve very complex problems with minimal direction, developing innovative and practical model solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
Research the design, implementation, and validation of innovative algorithms to analyze diverse data sources for business outcomes and develop use cases.
Own models long-term, proposing improvements and evolving models based on business needs.
Coordinate with business teams to obtain economic impact results, developing automated reports and dashboards.
Work with high-dimensional, sparse, and time series data; apply predictive modeling skills and insurance knowledge to design analytic solutions.
Perform model validation, testing for reliability and stability, and select models for stakeholder communication.
Design tools and processes to monitor and maintain model performance.
Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff.
Advocate for best practices in analytics modeling and statistical analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience or Master's Degree with 6 years relevant experience.
Insurance industry experience is required.
Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Proficiency in Machine Learning, Python, Spark/PySpark, and MLOps tools such as AWS, Cloud9, Jenkins, Airflow, Git.
