Overview Job Title: Director, Mergers & Acquisitions Location: Remote Reports To: SVP Growth, M&A Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify acquisition and investment opportunities aligned with Anywhere’s strategic goals; Build relationships with external partners including brokers, bankers, founders, and advisors; Analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and whitespace opportunities. Deal Execution & Analysis: Lead due diligence efforts, partnering with finance, legal, product, HR, and operations; Develop complex financial models and valuation scenarios (DCF, precedent transactions, public comps); Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to executive leadership and board committees; Support term sheet negotiation and transaction structuring. Integration & Operational Alignment: Collaborate with business unit leaders and functional teams to ensure smooth integration and realization of deal synergies; Monitor post-acquisition performance and support continuous optimization. Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration: Work across Anywhere’s enterprise—from national brands to tech platforms—to evaluate strategic fit and execution readiness; Provide thought leadership on buy/build/partner decisions and long-term value creation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred. 8–10+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity, ideally with exposure to real estate or franchise businesses. Demonstrated experience leading multiple end-to-end transactions, including diligence, modeling, negotiation, and integration. Strong understanding of real estate, technology-enabled services, or consumer-facing platforms is a plus. Excellent financial modeling, communication, and executive presentation skills.
