Overview Job Details Level : Management • Job Location : Jamaica Plain Campus - JAMAICA PLAIN, MA • Position Type : Full Time • Salary Range : $78,000.00 - $90,000.00 The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for overseeing the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Annual Fund donors. The Director of Annual Giving works closely with the VP of Agency Advancement on reporting and analysis of fundraising portfolios. The Director of Annual Giving raises unrestricted funds through events, a portfolio of mid-level donors, and collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications around the appeals. The Director also manages the Gala Committee and the Emerging Leaders Board. The Director of Annual Giving reports to the Vice President of Agency Advancement. This is a hybrid position requiring at least two days per week in office, as well as some evening and weekend work about ten times annually. The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the duties and responsibilities that will be required of the position, but additional responsibilities may be required. Employees are expected to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Responsibilities Lead all IHC fundraising events and serve as liaison to all third-party events, about 6-8 events per year Exercise strong attention to detail, collaboration skills with vendors, negotiation tactics, and organization of project timelines Cultivate, solicit, and steward all Annual Fund Donors through meetings, calls, emails, and thank you notes Manage Emerging Leaders volunteer group and promote their ability to raise money for the organization through their own skills and time, talent, and treasure Manage a portfolio of roughly 50 mid-leadership level Annual Fund Donors including moves management from about $500 level to thousands Collaborate and support the efforts of other Development Team members and their initiatives Manage the Gala Task Force and subcommittees to ensure event raises a minimum of $500,000 Contribute to agency values proposition/case for support materials and content Support colleagues responsible for appeal letters and solicit donations through follow-up activities Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in non-profit management, business administration or related field preferred 3-6 years of relevant work experience, preferably in nonprofit organizations Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to the Agency’s business, development, and fundraising practices Proven track record of soliciting gifts in the $500-$5,000 range Proficiency with Bloomerang, Excel and Microsoft Office Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills Follow up and follow through on tasks, able to prioritize Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop solid working relationships and ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization Must be receptive and responsive to supervision and professional development, demonstrated ability to accept and give critical feedback Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. The expected annual base salary for this role is between $80,000-$100,000 USD, dependent on experience.
