We are seeking a proactive and dynamic leader and strategist for the role of Director, Strategic Initiatives where you will be expected to support the development, prioritization, and implementation of a range of strategies and initiatives to drive profitable growth across our international businesses, with a focus on Emerging Markets
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategy, International Businesses this role will focus on identifying, evaluating, and executing opportunities that drive growth, profitability, and scalability, while establishing Prudential as a market leader in the insurance, pensions, and investments industries. This will be a hybrid role based out of Newark, NJ.
What you can expect: Support the growth strategy, the strategic planning process and overall growth initiatives across international markets, ensuring alignment with the broader Enterprise Strategy efforts. Develop end-to-end strategy reviews, strategic frameworks / narrative and business cases to assess and prioritize investments in high-potential, growth market initiatives. Lead or contribute to cross-functional or cross-market workstreams focused on organic growth levers such as go-to-market optimization, process excellence, and portfolio prioritization. Gather competitive insights across international markets, including Latin America, Asia, and beyond, to inform strategic decision-making and enhance Prudential’s competitive positioning. Partner with cross functional stakeholders to support the evaluation and execution of M&A and inorganic growth opportunities across the Emerging Markets portfolio. Support the development of strategy documents and communication materials, including business and strategic reviews to senior leaders, including the Global Leadership Team (GLT), the Management Committee, Operating Committees, the Board of Directors and other key constituencies. Support the development of strategy documents and communication materials to external stakeholders, including Rating Agencies, the Supervisory College and other key external constituencies.
What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field required. 5-7 years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, management consulting or investment banking/corporate development roles in the Financial Services or Insurance industry. Top-notch conceptual thinking, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with proven ability to create detailed, high-impact presentations. Successful track record of leading projects / key workstreams with a demonstrated ability to seamlessly flex between strategic thinking and tactical execution. Ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively partner across all organizational levels and present confidently at senior executive-level forums. Minimal travel may be required.
It’d be a plus if you had: MBA, CFA, and/or CPA strongly preferred. Fluency in Spanish and / or Portuguese preferred. What we offer you: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $152,500.00 to $206,200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level .
