Overview

Director, Talent Management & Culture – Chicago, IL. Location: headquarters at the Old Post Office, downtown Chicago. Hybrid model: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. This role reports to the VP of Talent Management and DEI and collaborates with People Business Partners and business leaders to implement talent strategy across locations.

Note: This role is on-site as described unless otherwise stated.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a performance management system that supports a culture of continuous improvement, providing meaningful feedback for employee growth.
  • Oversee talent review and performance management programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while promoting an inclusive culture that supports compliance and collaboration.
  • Develop strategies for career advancement to empower employees to enhance skills, contribute value, and grow within the organization.
  • Assess talent needs and create a succession planning strategy to ensure leadership continuity for future success.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by aligning talent management strategies with organizational values, defining and promoting leadership behaviors that exemplify these values, and ensuring a cohesive employee experience that drives engagement and retention.
  • Utilize talent metrics and trends to provide actionable insights, guiding strategic decisions and identifying current and future talent needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience: 10–15 years in HR, including at least 7 years in a senior talent management role with a track record of transformational programs and change management that positively impacts culture.
  • Skills: Ability to lead and inspire teams; strong proficiency in analyzing talent metrics; excellent verbal and written communication; strong project management; coaching and mentoring; commitment to cultural competence; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $127,600 – $178,600 annually.
