The role involves overseeing the development and maintenance of software products, ensuring seamless operations, timely delivery, and operational excellence. Responsibilities include: Managing a diverse team and engaging with stakeholders. Aligning technology initiatives with business objectives through collaboration with customer support, product teams, and senior leadership. Overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Implementing best practices for project management and agile methodologies. Setting performance goals and conducting reviews. Addressing skill gaps via training and development. Ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the technology infrastructure. Managing incident response and problem resolution processes. Making presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executives. Technical environment includes: Java, Cassandra, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Redis, Secure APIs, SaaS, PaaS, Cloud, Archimate, TOGAF, Spring, SQL, NoSQL, AWS, DevOps, SAFe Agile, distributed systems principles. Job Requirements Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience; or Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of experience in software architecture/design. Required skills include mentoring, presenting, leading project delivery, strong engineering track record, cloud-native software design, architecture patterns, distributed systems, solution prototyping, and establishing best practices. Some telecommuting permitted.
