Req ID: 127906 Remote Position: Yes Region: Americas Country: USA Role and Title Functional Area: MBD - Marketing & Business Development Career Stream: SAL - Sales Role: Director 1 Job Title: Sales Director 1 Job Code: DR1-MBD-SALE Band: Level 12 Direct/Indirect Indicator: Indirect Responsibilities Develop strong and long-lasting insight-based relationships with customers and identify mobilizers; serve as the primary sales interface for several accounts on a regional basis. Investigate potential new opportunities within accounts. Hunt for new target accounts. Collect competitive intelligence and tie insights to Celestica strengths in the market. Provide a unique and contrarian perspective during commercial conversations and help reframe how customers view their business. Maintain deep knowledge of customer business trends, industry trends, and potential new opportunities through a consultative sales approach. Engage customers by linking their business priorities to Celestica value propositions. Manage the overall customer relationship process and support business development in planning and executing account strategies, tactics, and selling propositions. Act as Customer advocate to ensure organization remains customer-focused. Serve as the main focal point during the sales process to understand needs, manage requests, and deliver business proposals and RFQ responses. Maintain minimum revenue accountability and growth of margin for the booking (personal sales quota); establish value before ROI/financial terms. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Experience with Challenger Sales or similar Solutions Selling methodologies is highly preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship management and professional sales skills. Ability to manage and close multiple prospects simultaneously. Experience in high-complexity service selling within a global network to multinational OEM customers. Understanding of technical and process fundamentals related to electronics and electromechanical products. Proven track record of developing business with new clients and entering new markets. Ability to foster and build relationships with existing clients as required. Strong strategic planning and execution skills. Understanding of Profit and Loss modeling and sales impacts to customer financials. Value-based solution selling, business judgment, negotiation and decision-making skills. Experience working with senior level executives. Excellent team management skills and ability to work cross-functionally in large matrix organizations. Experience coordinating with remote cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to carry a sales, revenue or operational quota gains. Business travel is required 50-60%. Physical Demands Duties are performed in a normal office environment. Extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or data. Repetitive manual movements (data entry, mouse use, calculator, etc.). Overnight travel may be required. Typical Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development and client relations. Typical Education Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business and/or Engineering. Note: Educational requirements may vary by geography.
