Role: Enterprise Architect | Employment Type: Contract | Work location: Redwood City, SFO – | Work mode: 3 days a week from office / 2 days remote About the Role We are seeking an Enterprise Architect who plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing the architecture of an organization\'s IT systems and solutions. This role requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, and business acumen to align technology initiatives with business objectives, optimize processes, and drive innovation. The Enterprise Architect collaborates with stakeholders across departments to develop an integrated, scalable, and efficient technology landscape. What You'll Be Doing Architectural Best Practices: Apply architectural best practices across technologies to solve organizational problems; articulate views and roadmaps for future development; understand interaction between infrastructure, operations, and development. Business and Industry Fundamentals: Articulate business fundamentals (ROI, TCO, cost-benefit analysis); understand regulations and operational excellence; stay familiar with IT trends (CI/CD, Migration, AI). Enterprise Architecture: Design solutions across industries; build relationships with decision-makers to enable cloud advocacy; ensure success in modernizing and migrating to AWS; lead modernization and migration programs (on-prem to Cloud, Cloud to Any Cloud, hybrid). Repeatable Mechanisms and Solutions: Build repeatable architectures, playbooks, and mechanisms to enable faster, cheaper, predictable modernizations and migrations to AWS; work with customers to map their existing technology landscape. Comprehensive Cloud Architecture: Develop a comprehensive cloud architecture across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS; define assessment strategy and oversee customer assessments via questionnaires, workshops, and immersion days. Application and Cloud Platform Requirements: Analyze existing business applications and cloud platform requirements; ensure changes adhere to global technology standards. Enterprise Architecture Consistency: Partner with other technical architects to ensure consistent EA processes and practices. Overall Application Architecture: Focus on enterprise-wide application architecture, ensure alignment with business goals and IT strategy; design and oversee enterprise-wide solutions; ensure integration and interoperability; translate business requirements into technical solutions; provide an overall program value proposition. Technologies: Work with a variety of technologies and platforms, not limited to a single cloud provider. Familiar with data privacy and compliance requirements relevant to geography and industry. Experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman. Experience with a software professional services or consulting firm and the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical customers. Proficiency in designing and implementing complex, scalable, and reliable IT systems and solutions. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience with cloud technologies, microservices, DevOps practices, and emerging IT trends. Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect). Education Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
