Overview

Siemens Financial Services, a division of Siemens, is looking for an Equity Investment Manager, Director. This will be a hybrid position based in either Boston, MA or New York City, NY. The Equity Investment Manager, Director will report to the Equity Investment Head and serve as a trusted business partner, playing a key role in developing investment strategies in the Americas.

You will use your extensive network to source and screen investment opportunities. With a proven track record in leading financial transactions, you will lead all aspects of the due diligence process, develop and refine investment theses, secure necessary approvals, and successfully negotiate and close deals. Post-investment, you will manage a portfolio, drive value creation, and monetize investments through successful exits.

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits. The pay range for this position is $170,730- $292,680 with an annual incentive target of 70% of base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sector and thematic investment strategies, and defend thesis.
  • Expand and leverage your network to source and evaluate high-quality opportunities.
  • Lead investment teams and collaborate with internal and external specialists to review opportunities, including due diligence, identifying key business drivers and risks, and developing financial models.
  • Lead negotiations with targets and co-investors, structure transactions to mitigate risks and maximize returns.
  • Manage a portfolio of investments, including representing SFS on boards, driving value creation, forecasting, and reporting key information internally.
  • Lead a high-performing transaction team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a similar quantitative field.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • 10+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, late-stage Growth Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions, Project Development, and/or Project Finance/Capital Markets.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time, both domestic and international.
  • Ability to provide a deal sheet for review.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or similar degree is preferred.
  • Established network and proven track record to build relationships and source investment opportunities.
  • Deep knowledge of the energy transition, infrastructure, and/or industrials sectors and macro/micro drivers.
  • Experience with transaction execution and a track record of initiating, managing, negotiating, and closing complex transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and risk analysis.
  • Critical thinking, ability to identify trends, defend viewpoints, and consider others\' perspectives.
  • Strong interpersonal, project management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Highly organized, flexible, and efficient, with ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ethics, integrity, and transparent communication foundations to foster trust with stakeholders.
