Qualifications:

  • An active California CPA license is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s in Taxation preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on Estate & Trust tax compliance and consulting
  • Strong technical expertise in Form 1041, 706, 709, and estate planning strategies
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop staff
  • Proficient in tax software platforms and comfortable navigating technology-driven solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface directly with clients and professional advisors
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the preparation and review of complex fiduciary, estate, and gift tax returns
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, fiduciaries, and family offices
  • Partner with attorneys, financial advisors, and clients to structure tax-efficient estate plans
  • Supervise, coach, and develop junior staff and senior associates within the tax team
  • Serve as a technical resource for estate and trust matters, keeping the team informed on new legislation and tax law changes
  • Manage client engagements, including scheduling, budgeting, and billing
  • Contribute to the growth of the practice through thought leadership, business development, and client relationship management


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range (California): $130,000 – $180,000 (DOE)
