Position Executive Consultant—Facilitator, Strategist and Meeting Design Expert provides expert meeting design, consulting services, analysis and coordination support to assist transformation efforts. The ideal candidate has experience with strategic planning, organizational change management and communications, and meeting design and facilitation.
Responsibilities
Provide thought leadership and expert meeting design and facilitation to drive interagency change initiatives and to address complex and far-reaching natural disaster-related issues.
Engage the customer, deliver presentations, lead customer workshops and meetings, and assist groups in resolving issues.
Maintain a strategic view of all meetings and their interdependencies to ensure outcomes serve the greater purpose of disaster mitigation and resiliency.
Meet with the client and senior leaders regularly to understand purpose, intent, and desired outcomes for workshops, meetings, stakeholder engagement events, and public-facing documents.
Think strategically, manage risks, translate strategies into actionable plans, and contribute to project schedules and deliverables.
Design and deliver organizational change management approaches focused on stakeholder engagement, adoption, and communication.
Coordinate meeting-related tasks and review work products for completeness and adherence to client requirements.
Develop a process agenda, including meeting timeline and speaking notes/scripts for each presenter.
Develop content and slides for speaker presentations and handle meeting logistics (participant agendas, invites, conference room reservations, meeting materials, summaries, minutes, etc.).
Coordinate with the client and key stakeholders to facilitate completion of action items and track meeting-related items for the internal project team and leadership groups.
Maintain the SharePoint repository and develop communications to convey information and facilitate buy-in.
Develop conclusions and recommendations, write reports, and assist with briefings and presentations; coordinate development of communications to senior leadership, Congress, and the Administration.
Provide coaching and mentoring to team members when appropriate.
Qualifications
Education: BA/BS degree in a related field (e.g., Public Relations, Public Affairs, Communications, Journalism, Business, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Leadership, Organizational Change Management, Political Science) required. IAF certification required or certification in progress.
Experience: Minimum of 12 years in a related field; experience with meeting facilitation for federal government customers preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
Skills: Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision; strong interpersonal and leadership abilities; detail-oriented; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to analyze complex documents; capable of handling sensitive inquiries; strategic, ethical, and organized; politically savvy and a team player.
Compensation & Location The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $200,000 per year. Salary information is a general guideline and range factors include skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and other business needs. The primary work location is the Washington D.C. Metro area; remote work is allowed but not guaranteed. Travel expenses are not reimbursed for those outside the commutable area.
