About The Role
In this role you will be participating and supporting in the end-to-end M&A process. You will conduct industry research, pipeline building, financial modeling and valuation, investment committee and board approval materials, due diligence, transaction documents, and other ad hoc analysis.
You will be working closely with Senior Director, M&A on high impact global projects with great exposure to C-level’s discussions and decision-making process. In addition, you will get exposure to global businesses and practices at HARMAN, as part of the high-caliber Global Strategy & M&A team.
What You Will Do
Support deal execution and analysis; prepare detailed financial models and valuation scenarios, and collaborating with Harman business team, strategy team and legal team Coordinate with a group of often more senior level employees to ensure project timelines are met and relevant due diligence activities are performed comprehensively Create presentations and investment conclusions for review by executive management Coordinate projects with external counterparties, including target companies, consultants, or legal advisors Maintaining and updating M&A pipelines Support other financial analysis and strategy projects Stay well informed in key developments in the automotive and consumer electronics industries, focusing on in-organic activities such as M&A, investment, joint venture, or partnership.
What You Need To Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative fields required Two to four years of hands-on finance experience, ideally with 1-2 years with a strong focus on M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling is essential. This includes a proven ability to build robust financial statement models (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement) and conduct comprehensive valuation analysis (e.g., DCF, comparable company/transaction analysis). You're capable of distilling complex financial information into verbal and written presentations for all levels of the business and various cross-functional teams. Strong project management abilities will also be key to your success. You thrive in both independent and team settings, demonstrating the ability to take ownership of tasks while also collaborating effectively in a global, cross-functional environment, often across different time zones.
Bonus Points if You Have
MBA degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative fields required Industry related knowledge and experience in automotive, consumer electronics
