Base pay range

$200.00/hr - $220.00/hr

Essential Qualifications

• PEO Experience Required: Extensive experience working with Professional Employer Organizations is mandatory
• Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance executive
• Strong background in financial cleanup and organizational assessment projects
• Experience with rapid assessment and implementation methodologies

Duration & Schedule

• Project Duration: 30-60 days initial engagement
• Time Commitment: 8-16 hours per week initially (expected to decrease after 2 months)
• Location: Fully remote position
• Travel: Occasional visits to Boston may be required (1-2 trips expected)

Scope of Work

1. Phase 1: Assessment & Cleanup (First 30-60 days)
   • Conduct comprehensive financial assessment of current state
   • Clean up and reconcile existing financial records
   • Catch up on outstanding financial processes and reporting
   • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and compliance issues
   • Document current financial systems and processes
2. Phase 2: Strategic Planning
   • Develop clear roadmap from current state to desired future state
   • Recommend improvements to financial processes and controls
   • Establish best practices for ongoing PEO financial management
   • Create actionable implementation plan for long-term success

Required Experience

• PEO Financial Management: Deep understanding of PEO financial structures, co-employment models, and compliance requirements
• Multi-Client Environments: Experience managing finances across multiple client relationships
• Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of employment law, tax compliance, and workers’ compensation in PEO contexts
• Financial Systems: Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting systems commonly used in PEO environments
