Overview Title: Fraud and AML Solution Architect Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description An experienced team member to lead Fraud and AML platforms projects as Solution Architecture capacity. The Lead Solution Architect shall participate in business requirement refinement with the Business Owner and Tech Lead. The Solution Architect is a key role on the project roster and shall act as a leadership voice to functional & technical best practices. The architect is responsible for the creation of Macro Architecture, detailed Single Design (Technical Design), Process Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Security Architecture Diagram, and obtaining approvals at architecture boards including Solution Design Working Council, InfoSec Architecture Review (ISAR), Architecture Review Board (ARB). Responsibilities Maintain ongoing relationships with key business partners and managers within each business segment. Build relationships and trust with key business stakeholders to understand business strategy and future needs. Communicate monthly updates and produce presentations to senior management on strategic matters. Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team on systems design and implementation to grow retail business processes and technology. Consult with project teams to fit projects to Enterprise Architecture; work with senior leadership to develop project scopes and business cases. Develop blueprints and roadmaps with the Enterprise Architecture team to balance IT efficiency with business innovation. Communicate and build consensus on Enterprise Architecture with IT and business partners. Develop and implement Enterprise Architecture standards and operational plans; research emerging technology and market trends. Facilitate the adoption of Enterprise Architecture standards across the enterprise. Guide improvements in tools and capabilities to support the EA strategy. Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive improvements for the corporate lines. Influence business decisions at leadership level; mentor team members on best practices and design standards. Stay current with evolving industry methods for risk information, reporting, and recommendations as applicable. Manage strategic accounts and relationships for the Enterprise Architecture function; drive improved business performance. Oversee the implementation and operation of IT solutions; recommend process improvements to the EA function. Perform discovery analysis and document implementation as a technical blueprint; determine how products/services fit commercial banking needs. Act as liaison between Business Units and Consumer Banking IT during design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance across the product lifecycle. Complete current state analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation; consult with clients to map business needs to Santander solutions. Qualifications Expert in Fraud Prevention and Fraud Detection tools and workflows. Experience implementing fraud tools in banking systems (e.g., Experian CrossCore, FraudNet, PreciseID, Emailage, Fraud Service Orchestration, BioCatch, Threatmetrix, RSA, Fraud Detection Hub, Early Warning Services, Twilio, Bridger, OFAC). Restful APIs, API-led design, Event Driven Architecture. Cloud Architecture & Security – AWS (required), Azure. Cybersecurity concepts: MFA, encryption standards, device biometrics. Ability to perform cybersecurity risk assessment (ISAR). Banking & Fraud functional concepts in areas: Cards, Loans, Customer Authentication, Payments. Create logical/functional architecture diagrams and integration by use case sequence diagrams.
