Overview Part-Time General Counsel Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid flexibility available) Schedule: Part-Time (Flexible hours) Phoenix3 Collective is seeking a thoughtful, experienced legal professional to join us as our Part-Time General Counsel . This newly created role is ideal for someone looking to re-enter the workforce and contribute meaningfully in a flexible, strategic capacity. You’ll help shape the legal foundation of a privately held company and its fast-growing portfolio of boutique culinary and hospitality brands. We’re looking for a hands-on legal advisor who thrives in dynamic environments, brings sound judgment to complex situations, and enjoys building thoughtful processes from the ground up. What You’ll Do Serve as a strategic legal partner to senior leadership across the holding company and its portfolio. Develop and implement legal policies and systems that support growth and mitigate risk. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including vendor, supplier, service, and equity agreements. Oversee legal documentation and ensure consistency across entities. Manage relationships with outside counsel and represent the company when needed. Provide guidance on employment law matters including contracts, NDAs, and non-competes. Conduct risk assessments and develop proactive legal strategies.

What You Bring JD and active bar membership from an accredited law school. 5-10+ years of legal experience, ideally in law firm settings, with exposure to the hospitality or service industries across corporate governance, employment law, and contract negotiation. Proven leadership as a General Counsel or senior in-house legal advisor, preferably within a private holding company or multi-entity environment. Strong judgment, discretion, and a collaborative mindset. Comfort working independently and advising across multiple business units. A desire to contribute to a growing organization in a flexible, part-time capacity.
