What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. We're seeking an exceptional Global Head of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) to lead our world-class finance team, driving strategy and business insight across Canva as we continue our hypergrowth journey. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be a strategic partner, providing critical insights and guidance to the executive leadership team and driving financial performance across the organization. You will collaborate with the wider leadership team (e.g., GTM, Marketing, Growth, People, Product, Technology) to help fuel Canva’s growth and ensure financial excellence. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance, with a proven track record of success in both private and public companies. At the moment, the role is focused on: Lead and inspire: Manage and mentor a high-performing global FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Strategic financial planning: Develop and oversee the annual budget, long-range financial plans, and forecasting processes, aligning financial strategy with Canva's ambitious growth objectives. Financial management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze financial results, and provide insightful reporting and analysis to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Business partnering: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales) to provide financial expertise and support strategic decision-making. Investment analysis: Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives, providing rigorous financial modeling and recommendations. Drive efficiency: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function. Executive communication: Prepare and present clear, concise financial reports and presentations to the executive team and the Board of Directors. Systems and tools: Scale financial systems and processes with a focus on automation and AI-driven insights. You’re probably a match if you have: Proven experience as a senior finance leader within a global, high-growth technology company. Deep understanding of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling techniques. A strong command of SaaS metrics: ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, etc. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and influence business strategy. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Experience building and leading high-performing teams in a global, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Anaplan, and AI-driven technology) A passion for Canva's mission and a genuine desire to make a positive impact. The salary range for this position is $271,000 to $361,000. When calculating offers, we make salary decisions based on market data and candidates' skills and experience. The structure of total compensation may vary based on location to align with local regulations, standards, and practices. (Example: Based in Sydney, Australia).
