Head of Autonomous Network Fabric Engineering United States (Hybrid)
Nokia's Cloud and Network Services (CNS) business group is building a suite of products and capabilities that drive our Autonomous Networks vision. We are creating a data fabric that consolidates all the information gathered from telecom networks to enable intelligent decision-making for autonomous operations. The Head of Autonomous Network Fabric Engineering will oversee all engineering aspects of the Autonomous Network Fabric (ANF), which includes SaaS and on-premises services operating at petabyte scale, with AI/ML-based intelligence as a core component.
Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities Own and lead activities of an Agile Release Train (ART) focused on designing and building the ANF platform and data fabric.
Collaborate with engineering teams to onboard existing and new data-intensive applications onto the ANF platform.
Coordinate with internal platform engineering teams and research groups to leverage current and emerging technologies.
Partner with Release Management to adapt processes ensuring timely delivery of the application suite across multiple variants.
Implement modern engineering practices, emphasizing an agile, SaaS-first approach and automation.
Build and develop engineering teams with the skills necessary for architecting, implementing, and maintaining the ANF platform.
Work with Nokia partners to facilitate platform integrations and delivery models for customer needs.
Engage directly with Nokia customers and design partners to align platform requirements.
Key Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
15+ years in engineering leadership, including at least 7 years in senior management roles.
Experience managing a globally distributed, diverse engineering organization.
Over 4 years leading data engineering at scale, including AI/ML systems.
More than 4 years in a SaaS environment, preferably data-intensive.
Deep understanding of cloud technologies, with experience in at least one hyperscaler.
Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and process-driven execution.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of nurturing engineering talent and leadership.
Telecom industry experience and familiarity with telecom technologies are advantageous but not required.
