Position: Head of Development We are seeking a hands-on leader to oversee site sourcing, real estate negotiations, and construction execution across the U.S. This role involves building the future of SEV—one office at a time—working closely with a small internal team and external partners. Ideal candidates are proactive, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have experience in scaling high-growth brands without bureaucratic delays. Responsibilities: Real Estate & Site Selection Develop and execute end-to-end real estate strategies for new office locations nationwide Source, evaluate, and secure retail spaces aligned with SEV standards and customer demographics Utilize data-driven tools such as Buxton for market analysis and site selection Lead LOI and lease negotiations in collaboration with legal and executive teams Build strong relationships with brokers and gather local market intelligence Construction & Design Execution Manage construction projects from pre-construction to opening day Oversee external contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure timely, on-budget, high-quality builds Drive cost efficiencies while maintaining premium aesthetics and client experience Coordinate with internal teams to ensure design consistency and operational readiness Implement scalable tools for project tracking, cost control, and site readiness Leadership & Strategy Lead actively—this is a hands-on role, not desk-bound Build and mentor a lean internal team and manage broker/vendor networks Report regularly to the CEO on pipeline, timelines, risks, and opportunities Identify strategies to accelerate expansion and improve build efficiency Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations at all sites Qualifications: 10+ years in multi-unit real estate development, preferably in retail, wellness, or hospitality Proven experience managing multiple site pipelines and overseeing 20+ builds across various states Strong lease negotiation, landlord management, and construction oversight skills Experience with tools like Buxton, Placer.ai, or similar Knowledge of key US markets Track record of reducing costs while maintaining brand standards Self-motivated with sound judgment and a proactive attitude Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial team and traveling nationally Nice to Have: Experience scaling a consumer or wellness brand Background in architecture or construction management Perks & Benefits: Competitive salary Service discounts Flexible scheduling Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) Location & Flexibility: This role is remote and open to candidates nationwide, preferably near a SEV studio for operational proximity.
