The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Global Head of Insurance Closing and Reporting. The Head of ICR – NA Global Reporting will:
Own, manage and oversee the insurance accounting processes, transactions and reportings for assigned regions/legal entities, mainly North America, across all accounting regimes. Own and manage the global consolidated reportings, as defined, for the ICR function (currently mainly P/C LoB reporting); ensuring accurate, timely and efficient closings and reportings. Own, manage and oversee the preparation of relevant North American regulatory reporting (currently mainly related to NAIC statement exhibits). Manage the team across locations to high performance, and develop its employees.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Closing and Reporting:
Plan, coordinate and manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing tasks and reporting products (eg., [contributions to] financial reports, regulatory reporting, group/management reporting requirements), incl. ad-hoc reports/requests, in accurate and timely manner.
Closing steering of local (sub-) processes, closing and analyses – local and global (for IFRS (local and global), US-STAT etc.) incl. quality assurance of work and numbers, local operational bookings (eg., correction bookings); qualitative reporting, analyses and commentaries / management information; maintaining local tools (eg., for ULAE). Governance and quality assurance:
Own resp. closing/reporting processes, steps and products and parts of/contributions to resp. processes and products.
Drive new topics and unit towards a comprehensive simplification, standardisation, harmonisation of processes, (reporting) products and tools following best practice to improve productivity and efficiency.
Ensure fulfilment of documentation and audit requirements. Collaboration, communication and relationship management:
Manage relationship with ATT, Finance colleagues and other internal- Group, AZ, external stakeholders, guided by high customer focus and business acumen; manage interfaces/relationship with external auditor and other 3rd parties (eg., public authorities), if and where applicable. Projects and ad-hoc enquiries as assigned.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
Masters Degree in applicable field or or qualified by experience in related discipline Minimum 5 – 7 years - (Local GAAP, IFRS) Accounting experience Minimum 3 – 5 years - Managerial experience, and leading and managing people and teams within a complex global/matrix environment Minimum 3 – 5 years leading change Minimum 5 – 7 years of Project management / managerial experience Minimum 5 – 7 years of proven ability to navigate in a complex/matrix environment with various stakeholders Comprehensive knowledge of local, GAAP, IFRS, regulatory and other relevant requirements Data Quality and Reporting: Manage closing and reporting process in line with relevant internal & external requirements Ensure data correctness, quality and integrity Solid understanding of insurance financial statements and performance measurement AI - A deep knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), with the ability to leverage AI-driven insights to shape strategic decisions and drive innovation across the organization.
The annualized base pay range for this role is $137,172 – $175,000. The posted salary range is only applicable to applicants based in North America. ”The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
