US – Tax – Indirect Tax Technology and Transformation – Senior Manager - Tax Platform Engineer Our mission is to build, sell and deliver differentiated tax technology solutions that enable our clients to manage their indirect tax obligations more efficiently and accurately. As a senior manager you'll continuously enhance your proficiencies in the design, promotion and delivery of major technology tools, including application development, data acquisition and transformation, and data analytics and visualization/reporting. You'll work side-by-side with tax-technical subject matter professionals (SMPs) to develop and deploy data and technology solutions that will enable our tax-technical SMPs to efficiently and effectively deliver quality tax consulting, with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and/or exceed client expectations. Your Key Responsibilities Challenge the effectiveness of the tax technology strategy and approach for engagements while building strong relationships across clients and stakeholders. Identify opportunities for using technology to accelerate and enhance delivery of indirect tax services; participate on pursuit teams and service delivery teams supporting client projects. Collaborate with executive-level stakeholders to develop transformative solutions and foster deep client relationships. Contribute to developing a technically diverse and talented team, focusing on quality and commercial value. Skills And Attributes For Success Forward-thinking, self-motivated, adaptable to new technologies and skills Document and act on engagement team and client feedback; monitor market needs and competitor activity Proficiency in major technology tools; experience deploying technology services within pursuit and client service teams Ability to communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership Ability to communicate complex technology architecture to technical and non-technical audiences Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills; experience mentoring teams Experience implementing software development best practices for quality, maintainability, and scalability Willingness and ability to travel as required for client engagements To qualify for the role you must have A bachelor's degree in technology, information science, accounting, or finance and minimum of 7 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 6 years of related work experience Approved technical certification, CPA license or membership to a state Bar Hands-on technical experience with data-driven solutions using AI and modern analytics Experience with Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx, or Databricks stack Strong interest in AI and emerging technologies to optimize business processes Experience designing scalable databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server, for analytics and decision-making Strong communication skills with executive stakeholders; ability to influence strategic decisions Ability to convey complex architecture clearly to diverse audiences Adaptive mindset to evolving customer needs and technology trends Strong organization and time management skills in a hybrid work environment Leadership experience with cross-functional teams and mentoring Experience implementing development best practices for scalable solutions Willingness to travel for client engagements What We Look For We’re looking for people ready to join a highly engaged, diverse team to make a real difference for clients.
