Tax Manager Consultant Our client, a global software company, is seeking a Tax Manager Consultant to support their tax operations during a transitional period.
This opportunity is 100% remote; however, PST working hours are required. Candidates in the Bay Area may work in a hybrid capacity, 2 days/week onsite in Fremont, CA. This engagement will have an initial duration of 3+ months, with potential for extension or conversion.
This position reports to the Director of Revenue.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage U.S. federal, state, and international income tax returns prepared by external tax preparers.
Support quarterly and annual worldwide tax provision reporting for a Japanese public company shareholder.
Oversee U.S. sales tax, VAT, and GST filings.
Review transfer pricing arrangements and statutory tax provision calculations.
Manage tax planning and respond to IRS, state, and international audits and notices.
Stay current on tax legislation and update practices accordingly.
Provide cross-functional support and assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; CPA and/or MST also required.
Minimum 7 years of tax experience in Big 4 or equivalent corporate tax department.
Strong technical proficiency in U.S. tax compliance and tax provisions.
Experience with international tax and transfer pricing highly preferred.
IFRS and SAP experience a plus.
