A highly respected national labor & employment law firm is hiring Special Counsel to join its growing team—and is especially interested in attorneys barred in Arizona . Due to increasing client demand, the firm also strongly encourages applications from those barred in California or Washington . This is an exceptional opportunity to handle sophisticated litigation and agency work—without the burden of business development or rigid in-office requirements. Manage and resolve complex employment matters, including: EPLI-covered litigation Attorney demand letters Single-plaintiff employment disputes Handle all phases of litigation: discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, and resolution Provide legal strategy and risk assessment to employer clients Collaborate with a fully remote legal team and support staff Attend occasional in-person proceedings as needed (hearings, mediations, conferences) Qualifications 7–25 years of employment law experience (law firm background preferred) Proven track record managing cases independently from intake to resolution Strong knowledge of employment litigation and agency defense (EPLI, EEOC, etc.) Excellent writing, advocacy, and client communication skills Licensed in AZ, CA, or WA (strongly preferred) Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision Base Salary : $185K–$200K (commensurate with experience and billables) Bonus Potential : Up to 10% annually Billable Hours : 1,750–1,850 annually PTO : Unlimited Full Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid parental leave 401(k) with carve-out and profit sharing Life and long-term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Student loan refinancing support Critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity plans If you're a skilled employment litigator looking for meaningful work, flexible hours, and a strong national platform, we encourage you to apply.
