Responsibilities
- Provide counsel on a broad range of Washington land use issues, including feasibility analysis, permitting, regulatory compliance, governmental relations, and related matters.
- Represent clients before city, county, and state agencies, as well as in public hearings and administrative proceedings.
- Advise developers, businesses, and municipalities on zoning, land use, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the Land Use team and other practice areas to deliver strategic, results-driven solutions.
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, proactive guidance, and exceptional service.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the Washington State Bar (or ability to waive in).
- Extensive experience in Washington land use law, including permitting, zoning, and regulatory matters.
- Proven ability to navigate governmental processes and represent clients in public hearings and administrative forums.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Portable book of business is a plus but not required.
Location
Based in the Pacific Northwest, hybrid work options may be available depending on candidate and client needs.
