Overview Job Description: This position requires client location/office presence a minimum of 1 day per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. AT&T Consulting Lead Consultants act as senior-level technical project leads and architects with strong leadership, business acumen, communication, documentation and presentation skills. They lead consultative engagements, assess network environments, and architect designs for data center and network solutions, delivering meaningful, cohesive deliverables. Responsibilities Collaborate, confer and provide consulting services and manage project activities from client identification through final invoicing. Work on billable consulting service projects. Demonstrate broad product knowledge with the customer within a specific discipline. Work independently on highly complex projects, or in a team as assigned by the project leader. Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and deployment. Lead all technical aspects of delivery, customer satisfaction, and accurate timekeeping for billing on projects where the Consultant is the sole or lead technical resource. Demonstrate expert knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in the applicable discipline, with a working knowledge of related fields; may assist less experienced peers. Work with minimal direction. As a member of a team of advanced infrastructure consultants and lead consultants, apply in-depth networking knowledge to design and implement client solutions. Consulting activities from client identification through final invoicing and fulfillment of billable services. Act as subject matter expert within a specific discipline and typically lead an engagement team, or serve as the sole consulting resource on a project. Mentor or coach others and create new methods, techniques and procedures as appropriate. Qualifications At AT&T Consulting, you will be working with the best in the industry. The candidate will contribute as follows: 10+ years of experience in planning, design and implementation of complex networks as part of a large enterprise network team, or within professional services or network integration environments. Planning, design and integration of secure network technology. A positive, energetic attitude and a serious desire to have an impact on the company and the industry. Proven ability to develop Visio designs/diagrams and produce professional, cohesive deliverables; samples may be requested as evidence of documentation skills. Verifiable strong ethics, trustworthiness, accountability and reliability; resourceful and self-directed with leadership and collaborative teamwork skills. Technical Skills Thorough understanding of internetworking technologies and deployment in complex, global networks; IPv4 and IPv6 experience. WAN and preferably iWAN expertise – transport and access planning, design and deployment. Experience in analysis and selection of transport and access technologies including MPLS, Private Line, Hybrid WAN, Internet, Ethernet, Internet VPN, DWDM, and wireless. MPLS integration including MPLS equipment & transport selection, QoS, MPLS IP routing and MPLS migration planning/transition. LAN planning, design and deployment experience; equipment selection, sizing and detailed engineered design. Data center expertise including core, distribution and segmentation; wireless equipment selection and design. Layer 2 vs Layer 3 segmentation; virtualization using path segmentation (GRE, VRF-Lite, L3VPNs, L2VPNs). IP routing – planning, design & deployment; routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MBGP, EIGRP. IP addressing – NAT, DNS/DHCP; address summarization affecting IP addressing and routing. Data center core network planning, design and deployment; legacy and fabric-enabled architectures. Load balancing, DNS/DHCP, NAT, WANx and proxies; separation and segmentation technologies (VLAN, VRF). Network virtualization technologies; Cisco ACI SDN technologies. Network equipment: Cisco, Nortel, Juniper, Extreme; firewall design and configuration (Cisco ASA, CheckPoint, Fortinet, etc.). Understanding of load-balancing; F5 experience is a plus. Knowledge/experience with SDN, Juniper, Velocloud, VMware/Virtualization, and/or IoT is a plus. Required Skills Bachelor’s degree Industry Certifications CCIE, or proven equivalent experience with CCNA, CCNP or CISSP Very strong leadership, documentation and project management skills Ability to lead and coordinate complex networking engagements for very large environments in unfamiliar settings Ability to travel for engagement requirements Compensation and Benefits Our Lead Consultant ATC earns between $120,200 - $201,800 + $30,000 in commissions yearly if all sales goals are met.
