About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and self-driven Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support medical engagement efforts within rare disease. This role is fully virtual and focused on engaging healthcare providers (HCPs) across a broad U.S. territory through remote interactions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rare diseases, thrive in dynamic and evolving environments, and bring an entrepreneurial mindset suited for building processes in a lean, biotech-style organization. This role requires someone comfortable working independently while maintaining close cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain virtual scientific engagement with HCPs treating patients in rare disease indications across a defined U.S. region (East or West Coast).
  • Deliver accurate, balanced, and timely medical and scientific information to HCPs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, particularly commercial (sales), to ensure aligned field engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to referral pathway development, stakeholder mapping, and HCP targeting strategy.
  • Gather and communicate field insights to medical affairs leadership to inform strategy and planning.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant clinical data, treatment guidelines, and emerging science in rare diseases.
  • Represent the company at medical conferences and scientific meetings, as needed.
  • Ensure all interactions and activities comply with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • PharmD, PhD, or MD required
  • NPs considered with extensive experience in rare diseases
  • Minimum of 2 years of MSL experience
  • Strong preference for candidates with rare disease background
  • Prior experience in small or emerging biotech environments preferred
  • Demonstrated success in remote/virtual engagement with HCPs
