Role Overview

The API Integration Delivery Lead will spearhead the modernization of legacy mainframe systems into scalable cloudnative SaaS platforms This role demands deep expertise in APIled integration stakeholder collaboration and delivery oversight across hybrid environments

Key Responsibilities

1 Integration Strategy Architecture

Help Marriott in defining and implementing an APIfirst modernization strategy using platforms like MuleSoft Architect and oversee endtoend integration between mainframe systems eg DB2 MQ and SaaS platforms such as Salesforce Translate business needs into technical artifacts sequence diagrams interface specs deployment models 3

2 Delivery Leadership

Lead crossfunctional teams across onshore and offshore to ensure timely delivery of integration milestones Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and validate integration requirements Drive agile delivery practices and ensure alignment with transformation goals

3 Technical Oversight

Guide development teams on integration patterns including RESTSOAP APIs eventdriven architecture and messaging queues Kafka IBM MQ Ensure solutions meet nonfunctional requirements NFRs such as latency throughput scalability and error handling Oversee API lifecycle management including versioning security and observability

4 Governance Compliance

Support audit data governance and compliance requirements across integration touchpoints Ensure secure and resilient integration practices across cloud and onprem environments

Required Skills Experience

1 Technical Expertise

10 years in software architecture with 5 years in integration architecture Proven experience integrating mainframe systems with modern platforms using APIs and outbound messaging Strong command of RESTSOAP APIs microservices and cloudnative architectures AWS GCP Familiarity with tools like MuleSoft and container orchestration Kubernetes will be beneficial

2 Analytical Leadership Skills

Ability to define estimate and optimize NFRs Experience in reading and interpreting JavaSpring or Salesforce Apex code for integration points Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
