Purpose and Objective:
Ariba, Inc. seeks a Principal Business Process Consultant at our Palo Alto, CA location to lead functional scope definition and solution design for SAP Business Network Supply Chain Collaboration.
Expectations and Tasks:
Drive business consulting by translating the customers vision into solutions. Map business processes to solutions requirements. Drive the Business Network implementation process end-to-end, from requirements gathering to deployment. Support end to end solution design and configuration across all relevant solutions (on premise, cloud, and hybrid) applying state of the art methodologies and standards. Create detailed functional and technical documentation and project plans to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Act as a critical advisor, sharing expertise to foster customer self-sufficiency and support ongoing solution success. Apply in-depth knowledge of Business Network supply chain solutions and their integration with customer ERP systems. Quickly assimilate new features of Business Network solutions, presenting them credibly to customers and team members. Lead portions of the deployment process as needed, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Serve as a trusted resource for customer queries and challenges, providing thoughtful solutions that address business needs. Operate effectively within a global team, collaborating with diverse experts across SAP. Coordinate with project managers and delivery executives to align resources, adjust plans, and communicate proactively. Support in partnered project to ensure ecosystem and customer success. Act as a liaison between the customer and SAP internal teams, including Product Support, Sales, and Engineering. Contribute to the evolution of SAP’s consulting methodologies and tools based on project experience. Develop and deliver training to customers, implementation partners, and team members in your areas of expertise. Build SAP Business Network knowledge capital and continuously improve our implementation framework to support customer success. Mentor business process consultants.
Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve five (5) years in the following:
Logistics, Procurement and Material Management Business processes;
Mapping business processes and implementing in SAP software;
Warehouse Management processes;
Supply chain and Planning Processes;
B2B Integration with third party systems; and
SAP Activate Methodology.
Travel: Position requires up to 30% domestic travel to implement SAP solutions at customer sites.

Compensation Range Transparency : The annual base salary range for this position is $190,819 - $257,200. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $190,819 - $321,900. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
