We are seeking a Principal Architect to lead the design and evolution of our custodial wallet platform at Fidelity Digital Assets. This is a hands-on role that requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, hardening, and evolving wallet infrastructure for security, scalability, and extensibility.
• Supporting engineering teams to unblock critical paths and ensure consistent design patterns.
• Rapid prototyping and validation of new ideas, tools, or technologies.
• Partnering with engineering to investigate system behaviors, performance issues, and integration challenges.
• Conducting pull request reviews to uphold engineering quality.
• Collaborating with leadership to shape the technical roadmap.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• Deep knowledge of at least one public blockchain protocol, transaction processing, and smart contracts; experience with multiple blockchains preferred.
• Expertise in Java technologies and frameworks like SpringBoot.
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools like Jenkins.
• Knowledge of identity, authorization, and authentication systems.
• Leadership and mentorship skills in a collaborative environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Interest and experience in cryptocurrencies.
