We are seeking a Principal Architect to lead the design and evolution of our custodial wallet platform at Fidelity Digital Assets. This is a hands-on role that requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, hardening, and evolving wallet infrastructure for security, scalability, and extensibility.
- Supporting engineering teams to unblock critical paths and ensure consistent design patterns.
- Rapid prototyping and validation of new ideas, tools, or technologies.
- Partnering with engineering to investigate system behaviors, performance issues, and integration challenges.
- Conducting pull request reviews to uphold engineering quality.
- Collaborating with leadership to shape the technical roadmap.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 8+ years of experience.
- Deep knowledge of at least one public blockchain protocol, transaction processing, and smart contracts; experience with multiple blockchains preferred.
- Expertise in Java technologies and frameworks like SpringBoot.
- Proficiency in SQL and database technologies such as Aurora PostgreSQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools like Jenkins.
- Knowledge of identity, authorization, and authentication systems.
- Leadership and mentorship skills in a collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Interest and experience in cryptocurrencies.
Fidelity Digital Assets is developing a platform for digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum. The team values agility, innovation, and a startup mindset within a large, diverse organization.
