Now Hiring: Principal Electrical Engineer!!Job Description As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and layout of power plant sites, microgrids, and power distribution systems with medium and low voltage systems. Your expertise will include switchgear, motor control centers, computer modeling/analysis of electrical systems, convenience power, lighting systems, grounding, and lightning protection systems. You will design schematic and wiring diagrams, prepare specifications for equipment and systems, and ensure compliance with relevant codes. Additionally, you will manage a design budget and schedule, coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas, and conduct project field site visits. Responsibilities Design and layout of power plant sites, microgrids, and power distribution systems.

Develop computer models/analysis of electrical systems.

Design convenience power, lighting systems, grounding, and lightning protection systems.

Prepare schematic and wiring diagrams.

Draft specifications for equipment and systems.

Prepare reports and determine code requirements.

Perform and review design computations.

Coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas.

Manage design budget and schedule.

Develop engineering drawings and specifications.

Perform and check engineering calculations.

Size, select, and specify electrical equipment.

Coordinate information with vendors.

Conduct project field site visits.

Work on low voltage projects (60kV or below).

Essential Skills Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Professional Engineer (PE) Registration.

10+ years of relevant electrical design experience.

Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, or similar electrical modeling software.

Excellent communication skills.

Willingness to collaborate.

Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with AutoCAD.

Experience in electrical plant engineering.

Experience in power plant engineering.

Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $180000.00/yr. ligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
