Job Description Summary: Our Enterprise Suite Professional Services Team is seeking a skilled Mainframe Modernization Senior Consultant to support and lead the creation of technology solutions for our Customers’ Digital Transformation.
We offer comprehensive solutions across mainframe modernization pillars: application, process, and infrastructure, enabling speed to market, competitive advantage, and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
Support complex projects with minimal supervision, collaborating with customer and SI representatives.
Contribute to design and deployment of Rocket Software products.
Assist in implementing new solutions under Solution Architects' guidance.
Create proof of concept/value analyses and pilots.
Deliver technical presentations and training sessions.
Engage in technical forums and professional communities.
Apply expertise to resolve technical issues.
Exercise independent judgment within established practices.
Collaborate effectively within teams and with clients.
Qualifications & Skills:
3-5 years of relevant technical experience.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proactive, able to work under pressure.
Experience with complex IT projects, customization, or maintenance.
Analytical mindset for testing and defect resolution.
Organized, methodical, multitasker.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in two or more of the following:
IBM Enterprise COBOL or PLI
IBM CICS, IMS, JCL
Relational databases (IBM DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Windows and Linux/UNIX OS
Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker/Kubernetes)
Project Experience: Experience in mainframe application modernization, including:
Workload migration tools and methodologies.
COBOL modernization and porting.
Agile practices: TDD, CI/CD, DevOps, Test Automation.
Data modernization solutions for mainframe systems.
Automation pipeline configuration.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's in CS or related field.
Experience with Rocket Software COBOL products.
Additional mainframe languages/environments.
Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, SAFe).
Proficiency in another EU language.

Salary Range: $126,319 - $157,898.50/year, varies by skills, experience, location.
