Principal Sales Engineer - Enterprise Location: Remote, US with 50% travel Reports to: Senior Director, Sales Engineering
Your Impact Axon develops and manufactures conducted electrical weapons, body-worn cameras, and digital evidence management solutions. We aim to redefine public and private sector technology worldwide by applying technical solutions to age-old problems in digital video capture. We seek a high-energy, results-driven pre-sales engineer who excels at pitching technology to leadership, support staff, and end-users. This role is crucial in accelerating our sales initiatives within enterprise accounts.
What You’ll Do
Master all Axon technologies and products
Lead business and technical presentations effectively using exceptional communication skills
Engage in technical conversations with IT departments, including CIOs, and channel partner leadership
Manage expectations with customers and team members
Provide first-level technical support during the pre-sales cycle
Develop relationships with key partners for growth
Respond professionally to customer RFPs/RFIs
Position our technology against competitors
Represent Axon at industry and user conferences, tech summits, etc.
Improve or develop technical documentation to facilitate understanding and usage
Gather feature requests and provide feedback to product teams
Create Statements of Work (SOW) for professional services
Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
Willingness to travel up to 50%
Associates degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or 5+ years relevant experience
5-7 years customer-facing technical pre-sales or consulting experience
Experience selling SaaS solutions
Knowledge of routing, switching, telecommunications, and IoT technologies
Understanding of CCTV, video management, and access control systems
Experience with large-scale IaaS platforms like AWS or Azure
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong presentation and technical skills
Experience developing SOWs
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ preferred

Our total compensation includes base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting salary ranges from USD 153,090 to USD 244,944, depending on various factors. For more details, visit our benefits page .
