Product Line Director, Microelectronics

Overview The Product Line Director will lead TTM’s Microelectronic engineering design teams through the Product Line Management process, overseeing the entire lifecycle of a product from ideation to launch and beyond. This includes defining the product's vision, strategy, and features based on market needs and customer feedback. The incumbent will manage a product roadmap and hold Program Management responsibility for select Microelectronic Programs, managing multiple projects or a highly complex program for top-tier customers. The primary point of contact for customers, the role involves developing new business opportunities while providing direction, leadership, and professional development for the assigned teams. This is a full-time, remote position with occasional travel may be required.
Responsibilities
Manage and prioritize microelectronics standard products roadmap, responsible for each roadmap’s goals, milestones, and deliverables over time
Lead the development of new ASIC programs for both internal and external customers
Utilize and follow standard project scheduling and planning tools per 209-000.00, TTM ISO-9002, & AS9100 requirements
Develop high-level plans to meet project and product cost targets and report progress to appropriate management levels
Support assigned goals and objectives including market, product, technology, customer penetration, revenue growth, and profit
Meet assigned customer and program booking, shipment, and financial performance goals; regularly report progress
Implement new product development and product/program production readiness
Participate in or lead project meetings and design reviews, and track day-to-day commitments
Monitor progress vs. staffing plan and report resource constraints
Make recommendations on changes or work-arounds; ensure corrective actions and high customer satisfaction and product quality
Identify and mitigate risks; incorporate documented project management processes into all projects
Ensure cost models are accurate; set costs targets and manage reserves; achieve financial objectives
Ensure future costs and pricing meet internal margin demands and production cost targets
Team Leadership
Provide mentorship, coaching, and training for project management personnel
Lead and motivate project teams, delegating effectively and leveraging strengths
Demonstrate strong influencing skills and accountability for success
Guide teams through complex issues and drive structured problem-solving to root cause
Foster teamwork, cross-functional collaboration, and effective communication
Communication
Effectively convey pertinent information verbally and in writing to project teams
Maintain strong listening skills, run effective meetings, and escalate problems as needed
Use expertise to make timely decisions and escalate issues when necessary
Maintain strong written, oral, and presentation skills
Customer and New Scope / New Business Management
Provide customer reporting and status updates as assigned
Handle complex customer negotiations on specs and delivery with positive results
Set assigned customer management strategy and interface with internal teams
Contribute to PMO portion of bids and proposals for development programs and new business, including cost targets and data analysis as required
Essential Knowledge and Skills
Ability to juggle multiple complex tasks and make quality decisions independently
Experience managing complex programs with technology integration, multi-variant products, qualification, and multiple customers
Compliance with safety, security, ISO, EEO, OSHA, and ethics policies
Strong written, oral, and presentation skills; ability to foster teamwork
Ability to facilitate technical reviews and understand trade-offs
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; engineering or related field preferred
10+ years of experience in program management
Advanced industry experience preferred; PMI certification preferred
U.S. citizen with ability to hold a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance
Compensation and Benefits TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, flexible spending and health savings accounts, life insurance, disability benefits, paid vacation and holidays. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. Compensation ranges vary by factors including skills, experience, and location. A current range is: $117,424 - $206,504. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly bonuses and shift premiums where applicable.
Export Statement Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. This includes recognizing ITAR products and understanding access restrictions, foreign visitor procedures, export requirements for shipments, and vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing.
