About the Position Our client, a global Am Law 100 firm, has an active need for a real estate lawyer (8+ yrs of experience) to join its premier Real Estate Investment and Finance practice in Chicago as a Counsel. This law firm’s national real estate practice is known for its strengths in both the finance side of commercial real estate as well as the equity investment side, and handles not only sophisticated trophy properties but also large portfolio transactions. Highlights Chambers-ranked real estate practice Ranked as a Best Law Firm in Chicago by Vault Law Strong attorney well-being initiatives Recognized by the American Bar Association for pro bono work Responsibilities Represent commercial real estate lenders and equity clients in sophisticated transactions, including financing, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, and lending Represent large financial institutions on all aspects of the purchase, sale, leasing, operation and property management of corporate real estate portfolios Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements net leasing agreements, and ground leasing agreements Required Qualifications 8+ years of real estate transactional experience Significant experience with equity side real estate deals, including assisting clients in buying and selling properties and drafting/negotiating related agreements Experience with joint ventures is a plus Strong academic credentials and writing skills Location Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is $200,000 – $500,000.
