Overview The Revenue Management Analyst evaluates sailing performance and revenue metrics to determine pricing and inventory actions needed to maximize ticket revenue growth and total occupancy. The incumbent monitors market trends to understand Carnival Cruise Line's products from a consumer perspective and to align pricing programs, placement, and availability within each market segment. Responsibilities Determine pricing and inventory for the assigned Carnival Cruise Line product portfolio to drive net ticket revenue. Formulate and implement pricing and inventory practices using analytics, experience, and best practices. Analyze the impact on booking demand due to changes in the competitive landscape (e.g., ship deployment, pricing, and strategy). Conduct internal and external competitor price analysis to stay aware of current pricing and market trends. Establish tactical methodologies to optimize revenue and total occupancy at the market level and across booking channels (e.g., groups, opaque, etc.). Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Sailing Support, and Reservations to ensure pricing and inventory controls are adhered to. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required — in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, Marketing or a related field 3+ years of relevant work experience in Revenue Management or a similar analytical role Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Comprehensive knowledge of revenue management mathematical and statistical concepts, theories, principles and practices to collect and analyze data and construct solutions to business problems Familiarity with pricing systems, inventory management capabilities, and reports detailing sailing performance Keen understanding of how to utilize operational assets to formulate long-term objectives and make tactical decisions Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent analytical, organizational, prioritization, and time & project management skills Sound decision-making, interpersonal, critical thinking, and resourcefulness skills Ability to multitask and handle changing priorities with high level of quality Ability and willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization A self-starter who is able and willing to take action with minimal guidance Physical Demands Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods. Travel No travel. Work Conditions Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. Paid Time Off: Holidays: All full-time and part-time with benefits employees receive days off for 8 company-wide holidays, plus 2 additional floating holidays to be taken at the employee’s discretion. Vacation Time: All full-time employees at the manager and below level start with 14 days/year; director and above level start with 19 days/year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 84 hours/year. All employees gain additional vacation time with further tenure. Sick Time: All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
