The Senior Artificial Intelligence Consultant will drive the successful delivery of AI services by Husch Blackwell Consulting AI Advisory Services initiatives through collaboration with legal and business professionals to deliver client solutions. A key aspect of this role is translating client requirements into actionable AI strategies, governance frameworks, and solutions that deliver measurable business value, and then delivering on those solutions. The final candidate will be employed by Husch Blackwell Consulting, LLC, though many processes are executed and supported through the Firm via a shared services agreement. Responsibilities Client Engagement Conduct discovery sessions with clients to identify goals, requirements, and success metrics. Gather and document client requirements, translating them into actionable project objectives. Manage ongoing communications, scope, and budget for client engagements to ensure client satisfaction. Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, escalations, and ongoing support, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Provide direct support throughout the engagement lifecycle to ensure client satisfaction and success. Presentation, Proposal, and Strategic Planning Create client-facing presentations that communicate AI capabilities, solution designs, and expected outcomes. Develop tailored proposals and supporting materials aligned with client industry, use case, and maturity level. Prepare and deliver executive briefings, narratives, and thought leadership content. Contribute to the development of AI strategic plans and governance frameworks. Business Strategy Develop and implement AI strategies that align with client business objectives and industry trends. Advise clients on AI adoption, transformation roadmaps, and business value realization. Identify and evaluate business opportunities for AI-driven optimization, innovation, and growth. Guide strategic decisions and prioritization of AI initiatives based on value frameworks. Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging AI technologies to inform strategic recommendations. Project Coordination and Delivery Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely and successful completion of client-facing projects. Manage resources and risks to deliver successful outcomes across multiple concurrent workstreams. Maintain project documentation, templates, and best practices to drive efficiency in future engagements. Facilitate agile development, rapid prototyping, and iterative solution delivery. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with legal professionals, business strategists, technologists, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination across business development, legal, and consulting teams. Align on client expectations and project scope to drive successful outcomes. Share learnings, best practices, and templates across the organization to elevate client engagement standards. Contribute to and foster a collaborative, inclusive environment that promotes knowledge sharing and innovation. Able to both follow and lead as circumstances require. Note that as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Firm, many of Husch Blackwell Consulting’s processes are executed and supported through the Firm via a shared services agreement. The final candidate will, however, be employed by Husch Blackwell Consulting, LLC. Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, law, analytics, computer science, engineering, information systems, mathematics, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in consulting, business analysis, or client engagement within technology, AI, or data-driven environments. Deep experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders, including requirements gathering and delivering tailored solutions. Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% to HBC and client sites as required. Ability to translate complex business problems into structured analytical tasks and actionable solutions. Skilled at synthesizing technical information into clear, client-friendly narratives. Experience defining, tracking, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and project success metrics. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational and time-management abilities; adept at prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines. High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality deliverables. Collaborative and client-focused, with a proactive and adaptable approach to fast-paced, shifting client demands. Demonstrated ability to build trust, foster relationships, and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Professional demeanor and ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels. Understanding of confidentiality and data privacy principles in all client engagements. Preferred Experience and Background Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced degree in business, analytics, data science, or a related field is a plus. Background in business intelligence, data science, compliance, or hands-on professional AI deployment and use. Familiarity with AI / ML concepts, tools, and platforms. Experience managing or coordinating cross-functional teams and handling multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools and ability to create compelling presentations and proposals. Experience using project management tools and methodologies. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows: State of California: $144,000 - $275,000 State of Colorado: $132,000 - $236,000 State of Illinois: $130,000 - $252,000 Jersey City, NJ: $156,000 - $283,000 State of Maryland: $139,000 - $211,000 State of Massachusetts: $144,000 - $275,000 State of Minnesota: $144,000 - $238,000 State of New York: $134,000 - $289,000 State of Vermont: $142,000 - $273,000 State of Washington: $139,000 - $265,000 Washington: $185,000 - $273,000 The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
