Overview Senior Counsel - Corporate / Anti-trust & Competition Location: Northern Chicago Suburbs (3 days in) Job type: Full-time Base pay range $210,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr Employer Our client, a Forbes award-winning Fortune 500 Company, is looking to bring on a Director-level in-house Counsel to their legal team. Responsibilities Master knowledge of the overall business, with an intimate understanding of the region or business unit, and becomes embedded with key business team as a trusted partner Serves as primary legal representative for the region or business unit, offering proactive solutions and risk mitigation strategies Acts as senior subject matter expert on all country-specific legal requirements and provides legal counsel on a wide array of areas, including Commercial strategy, anti-trust & competition, data privacy, and corporate governance Bring creativitive and strategic ideas to C-suite executives to continue to grow the company Keeps abreast of legislative changes with a focus on antitrust/competition law, and proactively drives understanding across legal teams Ensures proper due diligence and compliance with corporate policies and applicable laws Drafts contracts of varying complexity, including contracts for which there are no existing templates and that require significant creativity Promotes common tools, processes, practices and is a strong participant in departmental IT projects Qualifications 7-15+ years of experience Experience in anti-trust, commercial, or corporate law within an in-house (preferred) or law firm setting.
