Role Description As Sr. Director of Club Sales , you’ll own the end-to-end strategy and execution for the club channel. You will serve as the face of our brand to Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s , driving revenue, execution, and launching innovation in one of the most competitive retail environments. You’ll lead account planning, sell-in, cross-functional coordination with operations, and trade spend management, all while bringing our brand’s mission to life in a format built for scale.
You will report to the Head of Sales .
What You’ll Do Define & execute the club channel strategy (Costco, Sam’s, BJ’s), including new listings, assortment, product innovation (SKU/pack formats) collaboration, and omnichannel go-to-market.
Own full P&L responsibility for the club channel: revenue, trade & promotional investment, margin and deduction management, cost control, and forecasting.
Develop compelling, data-driven business cases rooted in category, shopper, and syndicated data; blend analytics with storytelling to influence senior buyers.
Build and drive the promotional & trade calendar , including seasonal planning, in-club activations, and digital extensions.
Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and R&D to ensure flawless execution in supply, packaging, merchandising, and delivery.
Lead broker and trade partner relationships , setting expectations, monitoring performance, and aligning channel goals.
Monitor competition and shopper trends ; proactively adjust strategy to stay ahead.
Represent the customer voice internally , escalating key issues, ensuring expectations are exceeded, and driving customer-centric solutions.
Lead quarterly business reviews with club partners and maintain performance dashboards to drive operational excellence.
Build and mentor high-performing teams , including indirect partners, fostering growth and accountability.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required ; advanced degree a plus.
10+ years of progressive experience in CPG sales, with deep success in club/wholesale/warehouse channels (Costco, Sam’s, BJ’s).
Demonstrated track record of growing large accounts in club: securing listings, scaling distribution, and driving incremental revenue/profit.
Proven P&L ownership with expertise in trade investment optimization, forecasting, margin management, and deduction control.
Advanced negotiation skills and experience closing large contracts, securing merchandising & promotional support.
Strong analytical mindset , syndicated data, POS, shopper insights, inventory & forecast metrics, KPI dashboards.
Executive presence & communication skills : confident presenting to senior buyers, C-suite leaders, and internal stakeholders.
Experience managing teams and indirect partners (brokers, distributors), with a strong track record of talent development.
Deep understanding of supply chain, operations, packaging, and merchandising constraints in club execution.
Willingness to travel 30–50% of the time and thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
Intrinsic Qualities Experience launching major new products into the club channel.
Success in pack/format optimization tailored to club bulk & display requirements.
Familiarity with omnichannel/e-commerce strategies complementing physical club sales.
Established broker network and relationships in club channel.
Experience with promotional analytics or visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, ROI/trade investment optimization platforms).

Competitive Compensation: This role offers a salary range of $180,000 to $210,000.

Work Model at Simple Mills Remote working may be considered for qualified candidates from a designated location in the United States (the new hire’s permanent residence, as documented in our HR System, Rippling) if willing and able to travel regularly to the Chicago office.
