Overview The Senior Director, Engineering (Food Manufacturing) provides oversight of teams that operate and maintain facility structures and machinery and plans and executes projects of diverse size and complexity, up to major infrastructure projects for Domestic Operations. The role is based in Seattle, WA with travel to various locations, including remote Alaska, up to 50% of the time. Responsibilities Facility and Factory Management: Oversees the development and implementation of factory and facility maintenance programs; establishes, prepares, and maintains policies and SOPs related to factory and facility maintenance; directs or facilitates installation of major and minor factory and facility upgrades and repairs; collaborates with regulatory agencies to confirm compliance with required programs and ensures permits are current. Capital Projects Planning and Execution: Identifies capital project needs and prepares assessments on resource needs and capital requirements; creates business cases including ROI, gap analysis and risk assessment; develops detailed models and presentation decks for the Executive team and Board; facilitates project risk and security reviews and develops mitigation; develops hazard analyses with the safety department and ensures regulatory requirements are met; procures and manages all necessary employees, consultants and contractor services; reviews and approves project expenditures and deviations from plan. Team Management: Sets and communicates goals and objectives for Engineering teams aligned with company strategic goals; works with HR to analyze needs and structure; develops bench strength by identifying high-potential employees and establishing training programs including regulatory certifications and accreditations. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities engineering management, including preventative maintenance, HVAC, utilities, permitting and regulatory requirements. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience completing ROI analyses, gap analyses, capital and risk assessments for major capital projects. Proven leadership and team management skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in facilities management software and tools. Ability to travel to various locations, including remote Alaska, up to 50%. Preferred Education and Experience Seafood industry experience Master’s degree in engineering or business administration Work Environment and Travel Ability to travel to various locations, including remote Alaska, up to 50%. When not traveling, this position is based onsite at the Trident Office in Seattle Ballard neighborhood, with the possibility of remote work on Fridays. The role may expose the employee to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather, and other hazards. The noise level is usually loud. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Compensation and Benefits This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $210k to $260k.
