About The Role Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager of Income Tax to join their tax team in Denver. Reporting directly to the Director of Tax, this key leadership role will oversee U.S. income tax compliance and reporting while also contributing to tax planning, technical research, and special projects that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual income tax provision (ASC 740)

Oversee U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, coordinating with outsourced tax providers to ensure timely and accurate filings

Conduct and supervise technical tax research on complex corporate and international tax matters

Support and contribute to domestic and international tax planning initiatives and special projects

Stay current on U.S. and international tax developments and assess their impact on the business

Manage relationships with external tax advisors and compliance firms

Supervise and mentor 2 junior members of the team

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation or Accounting preferred

CPA license required

Minimum 6+ years of corporate income tax experience, with public accounting experience strongly preferred

Strong background in both income tax compliance and ASC 740 provision

Supervisory experience required

Demonstrated exposure to international tax

Strong technical tax research and analytical skills

Experience overseeing outsourced tax return preparation

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Excellent communication and organizational skills
