Senior Manager Product Marketing - Software

This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days a week on-site at any local UL Solutions office. Analyze industries, global markets, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for our ULTRUS platform and software products. Responsible for defining the strategy and tactics to succeed based on a deep understanding of our solutions, current and potential customers, and the competitive landscape. Provides strategic direction on go-to-market strategies, including tools for sellers to differentiate our value proposition with target customers. Serves as the expert on ULTRUS strategy, providing input on product roadmaps, sales strategies, and both proactive and reactive tactics to maintain market leadership. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Leverage deep product and industry knowledge to define market opportunities for software products and the ULTRUS platform, including solution categorization, competitive positioning, messaging, routes to market, target buyers, and buying cycles. Monitor industry trends (regulations, macroeconomic conditions, business challenges) and adjust strategies accordingly. Conduct competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and risks. Create product and platform messaging that identifies ideal buying personas and customer pain points, aligning value propositions accordingly. Define go-to-market strategies, including plans for launching new ULTRUS modules, setting goals, target audiences, and coordinating with sales, support, and marketing teams. Work with marketing to create content tools for value sellers, such as 'Hunting Packages,' displacement guides, and sales presentations. Collaborate with revenue operations to develop content for sales strategies and battle cards. Initiate market intelligence and trend research to identify new opportunities and inform product roadmaps and sales strategies. Ensure creation of master messaging and value propositions to drive product awareness and business growth across segments. Possess 10+ years in marketing, with 5+ years in marketing software solutions. Have 4+ years of product marketing experience, with strong strategic, competitive analysis, communication, collaboration, facilitation, project management, business acumen, and team-building skills. Experience in budget management, working with senior leaders, and sales enablement best practices. Preferably have experience in sustainability and/or product stewardship software marketing, digital marketing expertise, understanding of AI, and ability to translate complex technical information for non-scientific audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal communication tools is required. Total Rewards: The estimated salary range is $100,000 to $140,000, based on experience and location.
