Job Location and Work Model Job Location: Flexible locations in the US and Canada, and remote work will be considered. Ramboll has adopted a hybrid model of work, with a combination of remote and in-person employee engagement. Regional, domestic, and international travel may be required for this position.
Role overview Ramboll is currently seeking a senior-level environmental or occupational epidemiologist to join our Health Sciences team as a Senior Managing Consultant. Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience that includes:
Working in a consulting environment
Project and people management
Familiarity with regulatory risk assessments of chemicals and non-infectious agents
Interaction with regulatory agencies (e.g., USEPA)
A proactive approach with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
Experience and interest in business development is desirable

Your new role As our new Senior Managing Consultant, you must have experience managing complex consulting assignments and working independently to translate minimally defined scopes into actionable work plans and deliverables. You must be able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and be proficient in the analysis and communication of technical information. Your goal will be to work cooperatively with colleagues, agencies, and trade organizations to develop solutions that will guide risk-based decision-making. You must also demonstrate a commitment to mentoring and developing staff.

Your new team As part of the Health Sciences team, you will be part of a creative group, with opportunities to learn and contribute across disciplines. You will work with all levels of technical expertise and engage in a continuous learning environment through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job tasks.
Key responsibilities
Leading and managing projects to ensure completion on time and within budget by prioritizing, anticipating obstacles, and adjusting plans as needed.
Working directly with clients and regulatory agency relations.
Providing subject matter expertise in epidemiology and its application to human health risk assessment and systematic reviews of scientific evidence.
Demonstrating thought leadership through presenting and publishing findings, testifying at administrative and/or court hearings, and participating in scientific and trade group meetings.
Maintaining autonomy while collaborating across disciplines and business units.
Guiding staff in their careers and promoting staff development.
Qualifications and experience
An academic degree in Epidemiology or related discipline
10+ years of relevant experience including project and people management, familiarity with regulatory risk assessments of chemicals and non-infectious agents, and interaction with regulatory agencies (e.g., USEPA)
Ability to manage diverse teams as well as external client and regulatory agency relationships
Orientation toward quantitative methods and knowledge of modern causal inference methods
Leadership capabilities with strong written and oral communication skills

Salary transparency Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $136,000 to $195,000 annually and does not include bonuses, overtime or other forms of compensation or benefits. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
