Senior Software Engineer – Investment Management Reporting This role is with a DeWinter Investment Management Partner Boston, MA - Hybrid Role - We are targeting local candidates that can be in the Boston office 3 days per week. 12 Month + contract (or contract to hire, if desired) Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Application Developer with asset management domain experience to support a client reporting modernization initiative. This role will focus on backend application development, API integrations, and data engineering components to enable the successful implementation of the Coric client reporting application, replacing the legacy VisionFi system. Project Overview – Client Reporting Modernization: The project goal is to implement the Coric client reporting application to replace the legacy VisionFi system. This involves designing and building a modern, scalable data delivery infrastructure and migrating underlying data to cloud-based storage and processing systems. Key Components and Technologies: Data Delivery – Design and develop a service-oriented architecture to feed data into Coric, including APIs and middleware for secure and reliable data transfer. Data Migration from Legacy SQL Server to Modern Data Stores – Perform ETL from existing SQL Server databases into cloud-based storage, including schema mapping, data validation, and performance optimization. Abstraction Layer for Data Access – Build a standardized data layer to decouple Coric from upstream and downstream changes, allowing flexible retrieval and transformation without impacting the core application. Data Transformation Pipelines – Use Daxter orchestration tool to coordinate and monitor ETL workflows, including ingestion, cleaning, normalization, and enrichment of data prior to delivery. Technical Environment: C#/.NET Core – Backend services, API development, and integration components. Python (Pandas) – Data transformation within ETL pipelines, structured data manipulation. AWS Cloud – Infrastructure hosting, leveraging S3 for storage, Lambda for serverless processing, and ECS/EKS for container orchestration. Snowflake (Potential Integration) – Future data warehouse for analytical workloads and scalable querying.
