Reporting to the Sr. Director of Data Science, this position will manage several of BioMADE’s Data Teams while also playing a lead role in the software development cycle. Requirements

5+ years (7+ preferred) developing code in an industrial setting and 5+ years of experience in managing software teams. Bachelor’s (Masters or PhD preferred) in computer science, engineering, physical sciences, or related discipline. Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, and managing a team of engineers with diverse skill sets. Expertise in at least one programing language such as Python (preferred), Java, or Scala. Experience with system design, SQL databases, and ETL pipelines. Experience with agile methodologies, and project management tools. Experience with at least one of: DevOps, Security, CI/CD, QA/QC, and automation tools. Familiarity with cloud platform like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Ability to manage stakeholder discussions at all levels and lead tactical and roadmapping discussions across the development team. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience managing software development teams while still contributing to the code base.
