Description:

The Associate Director - Sponsored & Leveraged Finance Execution, in conjunction with Huntington's Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and Sponsor Coverage teams, evaluates credit opportunities, mitigates associated risks, structures, and underwrites leveraged finance transactions for Huntington's private equity and corporate clients across multiple industry and client coverage groups. The role involves delivering the Bank's balance sheet capital commitments to support these transactions.

Responsibilities:

Execute sponsor and leveraged financing transactions, managing due diligence and underwriting activities for sophisticated clients, including deal screening, structuring, credit approvals, and legal negotiations.

Coordinate with various internal teams to identify and mitigate market and credit risks, safeguarding the Bank from credit losses.

Leverage knowledge of syndicated loan markets and capital market trends to train and guide less experienced colleagues.

Partner with Capital Markets and product groups to provide competitive financing solutions.

Maintain strong relationships with internal partners and stay updated on market developments and sponsor financing structures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

At least 5 years of professional experience in Sponsored & Leveraged Finance, with a solid understanding of markets, financial analysis, risk evaluation, and legal/regulatory aspects.

Preferred: Experience with leveraged deal underwriting, senior bank financing, and knowledge of alternative financing structures such as 2nd lien, subordinated, and high yield debt.

Strong analytical skills, credit risk mitigation experience, and adeptness in negotiating complex legal documents.

Collaborative approach with proven ability to work across teams.

Desired: CFA or MBA, diverse industry financing experience, completion of formal credit training.

Additional Details:

Exempt Status: Yes (not eligible for overtime)

Workplace: Office with flexible arrangements possible

Salary Range: $77,000 - $154,000 USD annually, with potential bonuses and benefits
