POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supervising and reviewing work provided by a team of staff accountants. Duties may include oversight full cycle accounting functions and activity, monthly financial reporting, cash management, bank reconciliations, budget analysis, and work paper presentation of a group of ambulatory surgical centers (ASC). In addition to these duties, this position may also provide opportunities for involvement in process improvements, financial analysis, and special projects.

Work Schedule: Remote-Centric Hybrid

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary resource for internal colleagues regarding operations and/or financial issues.
  • Review all work provided by a team of staff accountants.
  • Train and mentor staff accountants with regards to technical issues and accounting responsibilities.
  • Monthly income statement trend analysis and other preparation for review of ASC financial reports.
  • Provide research and assistance with ASC work papers and reconciliations.
  • Monitor ASC compliance with accounting controls and policies.
  • Provide accounting and general ledger work for specified surgery centers as needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous financial analysis.
  • Special projects and other job related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

  • At least 3 years of accounting industry experience. Pervious supervisor and/or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to use window office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Accounting software; PC laptop.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Must be detail oriented and organized.

  • Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance.

Paid Time Off:
